AFTER TWO YEARS of supply-chain chaos, intense inflation and scary talk of a (potential) recession, how could this possibly be a good time to invest in high-quality furniture?
“Because there is a lot of excess inventory, so prices are not going up,” said Ray Allegrezza, executive director of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association in High Point, N.C. “Consumers can afford to be picky because retailers panicked and ordered anything they could lay their hands on when the supply chain was broken.”
